“Seize The Moment”

Writer: Randford BrooksRandford Brooks

“There was a man there named Zacchaeus. He was the chief tax collector in the region, and he had become very rich. He tried to get a look at Jesus, but he was too short to see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree beside the road, for Jesus was going to pass that way. When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.”

Luke 19:2-5 NLT

The term “Windows of opportunity” are short periods of time within which a key decision can be made that will produce a desired outcome. In our scripture today, Zacchaeus spots Jesus passing through his town. Instead of taking a selfie or getting an autograph, he seizes a “window of opportunity” that passed right by everyone else.

What opportunity lay before you today? Is it repentance, forgiving a wrong, or taking a leap of faith. Whatever it may be, we can’t assume that these “windows” will remain open permanently. The scripture states that Jesus was passing through, meaning this was Zacchaeus’s only chance at change. I pray that today we model the same sense of urgency of Zacchaeusus and ”Seize the Moment”! #BeEncourage #SeizeTheMoment

God Bless You and Have a Prosperous Day!
